Les Alchimistes

Based in Brussels, the Early Music ensemble Les Alchimistes born from the necessity

to create a musical laboratory to explore the theory and music practice

of the Renaissance and Baroque periods.

The Historically Informed Practice is the base, supported by many treatises and historical sources, plus the exploration of sounds, diminution and improvisation with the infinite search of the best

and most beautiful sound – it is really a laboratory, where we can

mix sounds and find something new, special and peculiar.
